PanGeo Subsea is excited to officially announce the launch of our new website. Big thanks to Ian Warren and the talented team at BuddyWa Solutions for the design and implementation.
PanGeo Subsea has strengthened its SBI reputation in the Oil and Gas sectors by recently completing its latest SBI area debris surveys for BP. Sub-seabed information acquired using the SBI will assist in de-risking future planned operations within the Field complex located offshore Norway.
The SBI was interfaced to DeepOcean WROV Supporter. Below is a photo.
Following on from his award of the Rayleigh Medal, Professor Jacques Guigne was invited to give the Plenary lecture to open the 1st International Conference on Underwater Acoustics on Corfu Island, Greece. The lecture was entitled “Acoustic Interrogation of Complex Seabeds” and it related primarily to PanGeo Subsea’s Acoustic Corer’s results to date. An abstract of the lecture will be available on our website soon. Check out the website at http://www.uam-conferences.org/index.php/1st-uac
We are delighted to announce that, today at the 1st International Conference and Exhibition on Underwater Acoustics on Corfu Island, Greece, PanGeo Subsea’s Chief Scientist, Professor Jacques Guigne was awarded the Rayleigh Medal by the Institute of Acoustics. The Institute of Acoustics annually honours people whose contributions to acoustics have been particularly noteworthy. The Rayleigh Medal is the Institute’s premier award, awarded without regard to age to persons of undoubted renown for outstanding contributions to acoustics. The medal is named after John William Strutt, Third Baron Rayleigh (1842 – 1919), a very versatile physicist who conducted both experimental and theoretical research in virtually every branch of the subject. A graduate, fellow and eventually Chancellor of Cambridge University, he was a fellow and president of the Royal Society. His book The Theory of Sound remains a landmark text in the development of acoustics.
Everyone at PanGeo sends our warmest congratulations to Jacques in winning this prestigious award.
