Fred Cahill is the President of the Cahill Group, which was established by his father in 1953 as an electrical services contracting company. Under Fred’s leadership the Cahill Group is now one of the largest multi-disciplinary construction and fabrication companies in Atlantic Canada.
Recognized by Deloitte as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, the Cahill Group supports major clients in the energy and industrial sectors. Fred strongly supports the local business community and post-secondary institutions in the communities where Cahill is active.
Fred has a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Electrical) from Memorial University, and in 2015 he was inducted as a Fellow with the Canadian Academy of Engineering.
Fred is the Chair of the Genesis Centre, Chair of the MUN Engineering and Applied Sciences Advisory Council; a member of the Board of Directors for the Shaw Group in Nova Scotia and NL Power a Fortis company. He is also a member of PEGNL.
